Heyy everyone!
After spending a relaxing week in warm Sicily, Alex and I headed to Rome and the Amalfi coast for a week. We stayed in a cute apartment right in the heart of Rome, in the Trastevere district. A short 3 min walk down the cobbled streets from our apartment was a bustling square filled with street performers (including a cute shadowbox show) and amazing restaurants and gelaterias. The 'fichi d'india', or prickly pear, gelato was surprisingly sweet and delicious! Straciatella flavour is also a must-try. Many of our days in Rome were spent exploring the narrow lanes with sunset orange painted apartments and an abundance of stray tabbies.
Enjoy the snaps!
The Amalfi coast was picturesque - the still water, pinky orange sunsets and vespas looked like they were straight out of a 1940s independent film. The food was influenced by the sea, with many seafood pasta dishes and woodfired pizzas with fresh tomatoes. All round a relaxing and stunning week!
